The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 7 minutes into the game, Saúl Valadares was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AD Os Parentes CC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Alcafozes the free kick. Adalberto Camacho's late challenge caught a SC Alcafozes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adalberto Camacho helped the player get up and apologised. In the 10th minute there was a penalty for SC Alcafozes. Higino Frois stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Joaquim Ruas. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albérico Marques in the 14th minute of play forced SC Alcafozes's goalkeeper Saúl Gentil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tiago Lencastre was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 15th minute. SC Alcafozes's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 17th minute, António Pacheco fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. 20 minutes into the match, AD Os Parentes CC's goalkeeper Joaquim Ruas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tiago Lencastre. The supporters of SC Alcafozes booed when AD Os Parentes CC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Saúl Valadares didn't get a good kick on the ball. 22 minutes into the game, Geraldo Fraga was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AD Os Parentes CC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Alcafozes the free kick. After a rather tough play, AD Os Parentes CC's Geraldo Fraga got a free kick in the 22nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, António Pacheco managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Alcafozes's supporters rose to their feet, but António Pacheco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joaquim Ruas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Tiago Lencastre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 27th minute, SC Alcafozes's Tiago Lencastre ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Joaquim Ruas. Joaquim Ruas yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Joaquim Ruas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from António Pacheco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Adalberto Pegado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Saúl Gentil tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 41 minutes into the match, SC Alcafozes's goal looked a bit too open when Adalberto Pegado came free, but Saúl Gentil reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pascoal Bernardes to make the kick off. In the 54th minute Tiago Lencastre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquim Ruas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 56th minute, António Pacheco made a precise shot to the right of Joaquim Ruas. AD Os Parentes CC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Tiago Lencastre fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquim Ruas having to interfere. After a rather tough play, SC Alcafozes's Geraldo Abrantes got a free kick in the 65th minute. 72 minutes into the game, Duarte Portugal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Alcafozes's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AD Os Parentes CC the free kick. Duarte Portugal hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, SC Alcafozes's Ronaldo Fontoura got a free kick in the 77th minute. A collision led to SC Alcafozes getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. António Pacheco hit a great ball. AD Os Parentes CC's Joaquim Ruas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiago Lencastre in the 81st minute of play. Adalberto Pegado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 90 minutes into the game, António Pacheco cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Joaquim Ruas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. For all the effort they put into the match, the AD Os Parentes CC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for SC Alcafozes.
