Tiago Lopes's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 11thth minute, Belchior Regalado skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After a rather tough play, Covelos FC's Heitor Granja got a free kick in the 11th minute. In the 14th minute Januário Magalhães shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fábio Melo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 17 minutes into the match, Covelos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rafael Ranho came free, but Belchior Regalado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fábio Melo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Pestana in the 19th minute of play. Tiago Lopes did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Belchior Regalado 22 minutes into the match. The supporters of Covelos FC booed when Salineiras FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Humberto Dias didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 29th minute, António Faria made a precise shot to the right of Belchior Regalado. Covelos FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. António Faria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carlos Pestana hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Carlos Pestana made a kick off. Januário Magalhães took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fábio Melo. Fábio Melo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Januário Magalhães succeeded in the game's 63rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tiago Lopes in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Belchior Regalado saved Covelos FC from getting behind. Covelos FC's Belchior Regalado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiago Lopes in the 70th minute of play. Salineiras FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 72nd minute, when Januário Magalhães scored to the left of an out of position Fábio Melo, making the score, 3-3. Salineiras FC's Eusébio Leão was substituted for Inácio Santos. After a defensive mix-up in Covelos FC's zone, Tiago Lopes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Belchior Regalado came out of the goal and Tiago Lopes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 84th minute, António Faria ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Belchior Regalado was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-3. Januário Magalhães struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Fábio Melo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Covelos FC. Rafael Ranho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Belchior Regalado having to interfere. Salineiras FC's Tiago Lopes got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. António Faria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There was no doubt that Salineiras FC were the better team. Salineiras FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
