When José Miranda fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Chamoinha's protests and gave José Miranda a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Armindo Lisboa in the 17th minute of play forced SC Chamoinha's goalkeeper Afonso Lisboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Alexandre Tavares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 25 minutes into the match, SC Chamoinha's goal looked a bit too open when Armindo Lisboa came free, but Afonso Lisboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Torrinheiras FC's Fernando Amaro got a free kick in the 26th minute. 32 minutes into the match, Torrinheiras FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastião Fonseca came free, but Rui Ferro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 45th minute, Tomás Nogueira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Torrinheiras FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Afonso Lisboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miguel Rodrigues, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Afonso Lisboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Armindo Lisboa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Fernandes in the 80th minute of play forced SC Chamoinha's goalkeeper Afonso Lisboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. There was no doubt that Torrinheiras FC were the better team. Torrinheiras FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
