Pedro Castros short, quick shot in the 3rdth minute got Filipe Pinto to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Filipe Pinto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Graciano Baldaia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 9 minutes, Wladyslaw Trzenzalski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Norte United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wladyslaw Trzenzalski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Teodosio Perutxo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jaime Nunes having to interfere. Abel Amorim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Jaime Nunes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Teodosio Perutxo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 22 minutes, Abel Amorim managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Norte United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abel Amorim was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 30th minute Teodosio Perutxo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jaime Nunes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Teodosio Perutxo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wladyslaw Trzenzalski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Filipe Pinto made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Filipe Paiva sent off a good shot on target. 40 minutes into the match, Gil Godinho dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Filipe Pinto, 1-0. In the 46th minute, Leverense's Filipe Paiva dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Graciano Baldaia was the one to do the kick off. Abel Amorim struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Jaime Nunes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Norte United. If Teodosio Perutxo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 61 minutes into the game, Norte United's Abel Amorim nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jaime Nunes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. The supporters of Leverense booed when Norte United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Afonso Abreu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Norte United's goalkeeper Filipe Pinto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Filipe Paiva in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Filipe Pinto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Norte United were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
