Osvaldo Águas acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 39th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Francisco Paiva. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Egídio Jesus to make the kick off. Afonso Cruz hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. In the 55th minute of the match Francisco Paiva sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Osvaldo Águas skillfully saved the ball. After 57 minutes of play, Boimo's Duarte Viegas made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Osvaldo Águas was left in no man's land by his defense there! VARZIM SPORT CLUBE's Osvaldo Águas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Duarte Viegas in the 60th minute of play. 61 minutes into the game, Igor Neto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. VARZIM SPORT CLUBE's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Boimo the free kick. Osvaldo Águas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Duarte Viegas in the 63rd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Duarte Viegas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Boimo's supporters rose to their feet, but Duarte Viegas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Osvaldo Águas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 66 minutes, Duarte Viegas made it 5-0 with a short kick to the right side. VARZIM SPORT CLUBE's Osvaldo Águas tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 71 played minutes, Boimo's Francisco Paiva shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Osvaldo Águas came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Boimo reached it. VARZIM SPORT CLUBE's Igor Neto got his second yellow card of the match in the 74th minute. If Duarte Viegas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Duarte Viegas struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Osvaldo Águas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Boimo. Afonso Cruz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Osvaldo Águas having to interfere. After having played for 92 minutes, Duarte Viegas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Boimo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Duarte Viegas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Boimo's Afonso Cruz in the 95th minute got a chance for a shot 95th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
