Rickard Henriksson was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Paulo Fiúza. Rogério Montenegro succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 41st playminute. When Rodrigo Furtado fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Atouguia da Baleia's protests and gave Rodrigo Furtado a yellow card for diving instead.
