Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Carlos Peralta started the match with the kick off. When the match had gone on for 10 minutes, Jorge Bessa took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Jarbas Calçada to make any attempt to save it. After a defensive mix-up in SC Covilhã's zone, Jorge Bessa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jarbas Calçada came out of the goal and Jorge Bessa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Afonso Assunção took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Azeredo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 17 played minutes Casenho FC got a freekick which was hit by André Assunção. Gabriel Sousa kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the match, Casenho FC's goal looked a bit too open when Henrique Moutinho came free, but Afonso Assunção reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Afonso Ramos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Jarbas Calçada made a huge save. João Azeredo took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Afonso Assunção. Afonso Assunção dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Afonso Assunção took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Azeredo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jorge Bessa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jarbas Calçada having to interfere. In the 31st minute, Stefan Nilsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Afonso Assunção showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Azeredo, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. After 41 played minutes SC Covilhã got a freekick which was hit by João Azeredo. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jorge Bessa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Hermano Granja charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hermano Granja the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Casenho FC made a substitution. Pedro Monteiro replaced Paulo Assis. Jorge Bessa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 59 minutes into the game, one of Casenho FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had gone on for 61 minutes, Henrique Moutinho put it in 1-4 from a short distance just to the right of Afonso Assunção. Hermano Granja hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Amável Freitas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Afonso Assunção made a huge save. A collision led to Casenho FC getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. André Assunção hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Casenho FC defense, Carlos Peralta kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Afonso Assunção. The Casenho FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Afonso Assunção should have stopped the shot. Josué Moura charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Josué Moura the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Afonso Assunção made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Azeredo in the 82nd minute of play. The supporters of SC Covilhã booed when Casenho FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcelo Esteves didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Casenho FC's Afonso Assunção got control of the ball when Amável Freitas tried to sneak it across the goal line. 88 minutes into the game, Amável Freitas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-6. Afonso Assunção was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 91st match minute, SC Covilhã was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Azeredo to maneuver through the defense. Pedro Monteiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Jarbas Calçada tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match was over SC Covilhã could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Casenho FC throughout the match.
