In the 28th minute, Juvenal Veiga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpected shot in the 31st minute by Noel Portugal got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 31 minutes into the game, Sandro Pinto lined in a short shot 2-0 behind a frustrated Dário Barcelos. If Noel Portugal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Noel Portugal struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Dário Barcelos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Academia Sporting. Noel Portugal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Academia Sporting getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Duarte Nascimento hit a great ball.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sandro Pinto in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dário Barcelos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cyprian Piekarczyk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dário Barcelos having to interfere. In the 77th minute, Sandro Pinto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Academia Sporting fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-0. Noel Portugal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Sandro Pinto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dário Barcelos was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. In the 87th minute, Noel Portugal made a precise shot to the right of Dário Barcelos. SC Casaldeite's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 8-0. After some careless play in the SC Casaldeite defense, Noel Portugal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dário Barcelos. The SC Casaldeite fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dário Barcelos should have stopped the shot. When Noel Portugal came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Academia Sporting fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Noel Portugal couldn't finish the play.
