With a couple of smart ball manuevers Paulo Vaz in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dário Barcelos saved SC Casaldeite from getting behind. 10 minutes into the game, Carvao FC's Paulo Vaz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dário Barcelos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. If Juvenal Veiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Filipe Rocha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dário Barcelos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo Vaz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carvao FC's Raul Oliveira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filipe Calado in the 36th minute of play. Juvenal Veiga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raul Oliveira having to interfere. 39 minutes into the game, one of Carvao FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Jarbas Passos shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. If Juvenal Veiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Carvao FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Paulo Vaz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Filipe Calado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 61 minutes, Paulo Vaz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carvao FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paulo Vaz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 66th play minutes Paulo Vaz shot 0-2, a short shot which went by Dário Barcelos and just under the crossbar into goal. If Xavier Pereira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 78 minutes into the match, SC Casaldeite's goalkeeper Dário Barcelos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Paulo Vaz. After a defensive mix-up in Carvao FC's zone, Juvenal Veiga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Raul Oliveira came out of the goal and Juvenal Veiga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Raul Oliveira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filipe Calado in the 89th minute of the match. Juvenal Veiga took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Raul Oliveira. Raul Oliveira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vasco Setúbal during the 96th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Carvao FC's Vasco Setúbal got a free kick in the 97th minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Carvao FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
