Sporting CP's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rui Henriques was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. If Rui Henriques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Viriato Viegas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eusébio Assis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 14 played minutes Sporting CP got a freekick which was hit by René Lisander. 16 minutes into the game, Eusébio Assis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Viriato Viegas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Tomás Viegas made in the 20th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Arcozello FC's Augusto Paredes. After 21 played minutes, Sporting CP's André Cabral shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Mário Sousa came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sporting CP reached it. If Paulinho Silveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Henrique Azevedo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mário Sousa was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. A collision led to Arcozello FC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Eusébio Assis hit a great ball. In the 30th match minute, Arcozello FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joel Guerreiro to maneuver through the defense. José Vale charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed José Vale the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 32nd minute, José Vale hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 34 minutes in the game, Henrique Azevedo fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Mário Sousa having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henrique Azevedo in the 38th minute of play forced Arcozello FC's goalkeeper Mário Sousa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Viriato Viegas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rui Henriques in the 47th minute of the match.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Henrique Azevedo to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Eusébio Assis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Viriato Viegas was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Henrique Azevedo in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mário Sousa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Sporting CP's Paulinho Silveira got a free kick in the 60th minute. A collision led to Sporting CP getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Paulinho Silveira hit a great ball. 65 minutes into the match, Sporting CP's goal looked a bit too open when Eusébio Assis came free, but Viriato Viegas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Henrique Azevedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Viriato Viegas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rui Henriques went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Rui Henriques's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Viriato Viegas firmly grabbed it by the left post. André Sá hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. In the 87th minute, André Sá hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Paulinho Silveira hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. The Sporting CP supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Arcozello FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Arcozello FC.
