Barış Ecemiş showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vladimiro Aleixo in the 16th minute of the match. If Alexandre Neto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Manuel Antunes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lagos da Beira's Luís Carneiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Júlio Assunção in the 30th minute of play. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alexandre Neto to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alexandre Neto in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luís Carneiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to F.C. Lagos da Beira getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. In the 56th minute Jesualdo Moita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Barış Ecemiş saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 62 minutes into the game, Alexandre Neto recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Luís Carneiro. Alexandre Neto showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-3. In the 66th minute, Alexandre Neto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Consolacao FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-4. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alexandre Neto got free with Luís Carneiro in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Artur Gameiro hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Barış Ecemiş took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vladimiro Aleixo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luís Carneiro came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Consolacao FC's Alexandre Neto. But to his dismay, Alexandre Neto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-5. Alexandre Netos short, quick shot in the 83rdth minute got Luís Carneiro to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Manuel Antunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Consolacao FC played a much better game than F.C. Lagos da Beira and deserved their victory. The F.C. Lagos da Beira players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
