The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 6th minute of the match Vítor Morais shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nuno Falcão showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 7th minute the ball was on its way in behind Matraquilhos's goalkeeper Nuno Falcão, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorge Fonseca in the 9th minute of play forced Matraquilhos's goalkeeper Nuno Falcão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Valter Amaral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Óscar Domingues tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 13th match minute, Bar atlantis c.m. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nuno Vieira to maneuver through the defense. Óscar Domingues showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valter Amaral, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. In the 18th minute, Valter Amaral made a precise shot to the right of Óscar Domingues. Bar atlantis c.m.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Jorge Fonseca managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bar atlantis c.m.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Jorge Fonseca was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nuno Falcão breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If André Barbosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valter Amaral in the 28th minute of play forced Bar atlantis c.m.'s goalkeeper Óscar Domingues to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 0-2 became the score in the 33rd minute when Gabriel Baião elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 41 minutes into the match, Bar atlantis c.m.'s goal looked a bit too open when Gabriel Baião came free, but Óscar Domingues reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 43rd minute of the match, Jorge Fonseca tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Nuno Falcão saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jorge Fonseca to strike the kick off in the second half. André Barbosa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Bar atlantis c.m. booed when Matraquilhos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xavier Frois didn't get a good kick on the ball. 60 minutes into the match, Matraquilhos's goal looked a bit too open when Jorge Fonseca came free, but Nuno Falcão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 62nd minute, Jorge Fonseca left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bar atlantis c.m. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Óscar Domingues made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valter Amaral in the 68th minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 71st minute by Gabriel Baião got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Gabriel Baião's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Óscar Domingues firmly grabbed it by the left post. 74 minutes into the match, Bar atlantis c.m.'s goalkeeper Óscar Domingues had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gabriel Baião. Óscar Domingues made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Gabriel Baião sent off a good shot on target. Jorge Fonseca succeeded in the game's 81st minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-2. Bar atlantis c.m.'s André Barbosa got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Matraquilhos's Nuno Falcão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Barbosa in the 90th minute of play. André Barbosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nuno Falcão having to interfere. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
