Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Hermes Domingues took the kick off in the first half of the match. If Emanuel Guarda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Óscar Porto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexandre Delgado, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Hélder Gueifão hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. In the 17th minute, Emanuel Guarda got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eurico Godinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Ricardo Torres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 24th minute of the match Edgar Casado sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ricardo Torres skillfully saved the ball. Emanuel Guarda might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Óscar Porto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Emanuel Guarda ran back to his position shaking his head. Alexandre Delgado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Óscar Porto having to interfere. Emanuel Guarda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Óscar Porto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Alfredo Aguiar fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Almo FC's protests and gave Alfredo Aguiar a yellow card for diving instead. After 38 played minutes Almo FC got a freekick which was hit by Alfredo Aguiar. Eurico Godinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ricardo Torres took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hermes Domingues, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Emanuel Guarda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alexandre Delgado stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Alexandre Delgado fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Óscar Porto, passed just outside the right post. Hermes Domingues fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Torres having to interfere. Ricardo Torres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hermes Domingues in the 62nd minute of play. Ricardo Torres showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from André Serpa, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Eurico Godinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Torres having to interfere. Almo FC's Emanuel Guarda got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ricardo Torres took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eurico Godinho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Hermes Domingues came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Meijoadas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hermes Domingues couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hermes Domingues in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ricardo Torres prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Meijoadas were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Almo FC for a fine match.
