Alimpije Josimov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matias Santiago having to interfere. 13 minutes into the match, Fc.Porto's Pedro Coimbra sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Matias Santiago narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Rodolfo Távora kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bruno Matos. That made the score 2-0 in the 15 minute of play. Lourenço Pimenta charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lourenço Pimenta the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Lourenço Pimenta hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Matias Santiago stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pedro Coimbra's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. Pedro Coimbra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Matias Santiago tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fc.Porto's Pedro Coimbra got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 34 minutes into the match, Lourenço Pimenta dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Bruno Matos, 3-1. After having played for 38 minutes, Pedro Coimbra managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fc.Porto's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pedro Coimbra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pedro Coimbra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

During the 54th minute of the match Lourenço Pimenta completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Lourenço Pimenta a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 55th minute, Lourenço Pimenta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 56 played minutes vasculite got a freekick which was hit by Josué Queirós. A hard shot 57 in the game by Pedro Coimbra from a close distance when the talented Matias Santiago managed to make a qualified save. vasculite's players were relieved. In the 61st match minute, Fc.Porto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miguel Neves to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Pedro Coimbra managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fc.Porto's supporters rose to their feet, but Pedro Coimbra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Matias Santiago breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A throw-in in the 69th minute of the game was made by Micael Sanches with Óscar Silva as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Pedro Coimbra struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Matias Santiago didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fc.Porto. Bruno Matos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Liberato in the 75th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Pedro Coimbra managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fc.Porto's supporters rose to their feet, but Pedro Coimbra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Matias Santiago breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Manuel Liberato had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Fc.Porto's Xavier Cruz got a free kick in the 86th minute. Fc.Porto's Alimpije Josimov got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Matias Santiago acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 93rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from António Silva. In the 97th minute, Fc.Porto's Alimpije Josimov dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-2. Fc.Porto's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
