Operadores's supporters crossed their fingers, but Basílio Vaz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 26th minute, Basílio Vaz reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of António Telinhos. The goal made the score 5-0. In the 33rd minute Osvaldo Andrade shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Santos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. António Telinhos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filipe Borges in the 34th minute of play. João Garcia who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 42ndth minute tested the skills of António Telinhos when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The audience was convinced that João Garcia's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but António Telinhos was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-0 at half-time.

Osvaldo Andrade received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Pedro Santos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With an extended leg and a bit of luck António Telinhos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to SC Cortikona getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Saúl Caldeira hit a great ball. After 67 minutes, João Garcia made it 6-0 with a short kick to the right side. SC Cortikona's António Telinhos tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. There was no doubt that Operadores were the better team. Operadores's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
