Martinho Furtado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. SC Guena's Jorge Regalado got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Padroes FC's Vladimiro Lima proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Padroes FC from getting a goal against them. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Jorge Regalado took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Vladimiro Lima to make any attempt to save it. An unexpected shot in the 39th minute by Lourenço Costa got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Martinho Furtado blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vladimiro Lima having to make a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Martinho Furtado in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vladimiro Lima saved Padroes FC from getting behind. Lourenço Costa in the 45thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Vladimiro Lima, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Martinho Furtado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Paulo Teixeira was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martinho Furtado in the 54th minute of play forced Padroes FC's goalkeeper Vladimiro Lima to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 56th minute, Horácio Pinheiro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vladimiro Lima was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. After a defensive mix-up in Padroes FC's zone, Lourenço Costa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vladimiro Lima came out of the goal and Lourenço Costa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 65 minutes into the match, Padroes FC's goal looked a bit too open when Lourenço Costa came free, but Vladimiro Lima reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 66 minutes into the match, Padroes FC's goal looked a bit too open when Martinho Furtado came free, but Vladimiro Lima reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paulo Teixeira's late challenge caught a SC Guena's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
