Lourenço Martins kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. SC Pilado's Ricardo Pacheco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulo Cunha in the 6th minute of play. In the 8th minute Paulo Cunha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Pacheco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Manuel Pires had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joaquim Delgado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Gueifão having to interfere. SC Pilado's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lourenço Martins was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Carlos Gueifão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricardo Vaz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 27th minute Paulo Cunha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Pacheco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Pilado's goalkeeper Ricardo Pacheco, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Paulo Cunha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 32nd match minute, Abunheira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Alves to maneuver through the defense. 42 minutes into the game, Abunheira's Lourenço Martins nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ricardo Pacheco made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. In the 45th minute, Rui Pinheiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The wind increased when Manuel Pires made the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice moves Paulo Cunha could shoot a difficult shot in the 63rd minute, which Ricardo Pacheco however easily saved by the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Abunheira's zone, Joaquim Delgado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Gueifão came out of the goal and Joaquim Delgado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lourenço Martins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 69 minutes, Manuel Pires managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Pilado's supporters crossed their fingers, but Manuel Pires was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Joaquim Delgado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Paulo Cunha could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Ricardo Pacheco made a huge save. Lourenço Martins's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ricardo Pacheco read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. In the 88th minute, Alexandre Coelho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cristiano Mota hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Chants of Abunheira echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as SC Pilado had held the ball for most of the match.
