Jacob Alvarenga kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Setubal FC's zone, Daniel Vilaça stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Albertino Santos came out of the goal and Daniel Vilaça tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Through an outstanding action, after 21 minutes, Valdemar Caldas successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Afonso Faro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valdemar Caldas having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Afonso Faro got free with Valdemar Caldas in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 34th minute, Bruno Paiva fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Valdemar Caldas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bruno Paiva, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. The supporters of Setubal FC booed when CF Canelas 2010 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gil Ventura didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 44thth minute of the game Bruno Paiva who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but CF Canelas 2010's Valdemar Caldas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. CF Canelas 2010's Valdemar Caldas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save CF Canelas 2010 from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Daniel Vilaça during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Setubal FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Bruno Paiva was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valdemar Caldas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee ended the match the Setubal FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
