Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Sérgio Soares stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Xavier Rebocho's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. Xavier Rebocho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sérgio Soares having to interfere. Alexandre Maia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Cantarola FC getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Domingos Aleixo hit a great ball. Daniel Pedroso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alexandre Maia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Reginaldo Caetano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xavier Rebocho in the 31st minute of play forced Prainha's goalkeeper Sérgio Soares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Prainha's goalkeeper Sérgio Soares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Daniel Pedroso managed to get in a good position for a shot. Prainha's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Pedroso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Reginaldo Caetano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Noel Branco who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 35thth minute tested the skills of Sérgio Soares when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Noel Branco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Sérgio Soares made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xavier Rebocho in the 38th minute of play forced Prainha's goalkeeper Sérgio Soares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Prainha's Sérgio Soares got control of the ball when Noel Branco tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 41st minute, Noel Branco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cantarola FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. After 44 played minutes Cantarola FC got a freekick which was hit by Cristiano Sales. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Xavier Rebocho to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute Xavier Rebocho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sérgio Soares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 55th minute Cantarola FC were awarded a corner. Domingos Aleixo went to the cornerflag to take it. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Mateus Esteves managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cantarola FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Mateus Esteves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sérgio Soares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Noel Branco struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Sérgio Soares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cantarola FC. In the 66th minute, Xavier Rebocho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cantarola FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. A collision led to Cantarola FC getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Domingos Aleixo hit a great ball. If Alexandre Maia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Sérgio Soares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xavier Rebocho in the 75th minute of the match. Xavier Rebocho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sérgio Soares having to make a save. In the 83rd minute Xavier Rebocho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sérgio Soares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Prainha's Daniel Pedroso got a free kick in the 84th minute. Reginaldo Caetano made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Augusto Silva sent off a good shot on target. Gonçalo Saldanha hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Nuno Sousa, 91 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Sérgio Soares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xavier Rebocho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
