After having played for 3 minutes, Abel Correia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. G. Desportivo Almargense's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abel Correia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alexandre Ribeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lucas Monteiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alexandre Ribeiro's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. Alexandre Ribeiro received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Lucas Monteiro came out and tried to block the shot, but Alexandre Ribeiro slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 23rd minute. A hard shot 26 in the game by Abel Correia from a close distance when the talented Lucas Monteiro managed to make a qualified save. Tarba FC's players were relieved. After a rather tough play, Tarba FC's Manuel Veiga got a free kick in the 27th minute. With an all-out effort, G. Desportivo Almargense's Lucas Monteiro threw himself towards the right post 29 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Alexandre Ribeiro, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Abel Correia took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lucas Monteiro. Lucas Monteiro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Alexandre Ribeiro struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Lucas Monteiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for G. Desportivo Almargense. Alexandre Ribeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alexandre Ribeiro made a kick off. A collision led to Tarba FC getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Viriato Matos hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Tarba FC's zone, Alexandre Ribeiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lucas Monteiro came out of the goal and Alexandre Ribeiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 57th minute, Rui Martins hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Tarba FC's Rui Martins got a free kick in the 58th minute. In the 59th minute of the match Pedro Pedroso sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lucas Monteiro skillfully saved the ball. Luís Guarda kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. The supporters of G. Desportivo Almargense booed when Tarba FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manuel Veiga didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 70thth minute of the game António Oliveira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tarba FC's Lucas Monteiro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tarba FC's Rui Martins shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 73rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Henrique Gueifão but with some difficulty. If António Oliveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 77thth minute of the game António Oliveira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tarba FC's Lucas Monteiro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Marco Fonseca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Henrique Gueifão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match clock showed 83 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Duarte Pedroso sped through Tarba FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Lucas Monteiro. Duarte Pedroso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucas Monteiro having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Duarte Pedroso in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lucas Monteiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, António Oliveira managed to get in a good position for a shot. G. Desportivo Almargense's supporters rose to their feet, but António Oliveira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lucas Monteiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee ended the match the G. Desportivo Almargense players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
