In the 28th minute, Tobias Pádua got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Benedito Malafaia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gentil Caires, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Catarino Aveiro ran back to his position shaking his head. When the match had gone on for 86 minutes, Gentil Caires took a quick shot and it went in 0-1 without a chance for Benedito Malafaia to make any attempt to save it. When the match was over SC Carapelhos could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than SC Beira-Mar throughout the match.
