Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Adélio Gueifão started the match with the kick off. Olívio Delgado made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Laércio Borges sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, SC Algeriz's Olívio Delgado got control of the ball when Gusmão Gueifão tried to sneak it across the goal line. Flávio Mansilha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonardo Quaresma having to interfere. In the 15th minute Adélio Gueifão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olívio Delgado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 18th minute, Gusmão Gueifão got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 19th minute, Gualter Ribas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Ponte's goalkeeper Leonardo Quaresma, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Flávio Mansilha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Flávio Mansilha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonardo Quaresma having to interfere. When Gervásio Cerqueira came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the SC Algeriz fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gervásio Cerqueira couldn't finish the play. If Gervásio Cerqueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gervásio Cerqueira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Leonardo Quaresma tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gervásio Cerqueira's late challenge caught a SC Ponte's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gervásio Cerqueira helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, SC Algeriz's Gervásio Cerqueira got a free kick in the 42nd minute. If Adélio Gueifão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in SC Algeriz's zone, Laércio Borges stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Olívio Delgado came out of the goal and Laércio Borges tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gervásio Cerqueira to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in SC Algeriz's zone, Laércio Borges stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Olívio Delgado came out of the goal and Laércio Borges tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, SC Ponte's Raimundo Leite got a free kick in the 55th minute. Olívio Delgado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laércio Borges in the 58th minute of the match. Flávio Mansilha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 62 played minutes SC Ponte got a freekick which was hit by Raimundo Leite. SC Algeriz's Olívio Delgado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adélio Gueifão in the 65th minute of play. Olívio Delgado came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Ponte's Adélio Gueifão. But to his dismay, Adélio Gueifão quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. When Laércio Borges came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the SC Ponte fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Laércio Borges couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Laércio Borges in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Olívio Delgado saved SC Algeriz from getting behind. In the 76th minute, Adélio Gueifão made a precise shot to the right of Olívio Delgado. SC Algeriz's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. If Adélio Gueifão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. SC Algeriz's Olívio Delgado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Laércio Borges in the 82nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Flávio Mansilha managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Algeriz's supporters rose to their feet, but Flávio Mansilha was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leonardo Quaresma breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 84th match minute, SC Algeriz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adalberto Andrade to maneuver through the defense. Laércio Borges sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Olívio Delgado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laércio Borges in the 97th minute of play.
