The Gavião FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Xavier Barcelos made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Fernando Fernandes managed to get in a good position for a shot. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Álvaro Aires helped the player get up and apologised. Álvaro Aires's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Basílio Paião read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Fernando Fernandes kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Paulo Rangel. That made the score 2-3 in the 82 minute of play. Álvaro Aires sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match was over Gavião FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Nobar FC throughout the match.
