Armindo Gentil might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Samuel Abrantes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Armindo Gentil ran back to his position shaking his head. Samuel Abrantes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armindo Gentil, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Jordão Borba was extremely unlucky when he, in the 41st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Bruno Rodrigues hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Jordão Borba recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Júlio Sales received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Mateus Bragança tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.
