In the 3rd minute Donato Taveira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henrique Oliveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lourenço Baião's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Henrique Oliveira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. 8 minutes into the match, Armando Vaz notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Ribalonga FC's Valério Ribas. Valério Ribas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Landim FC's Henrique Oliveira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reinaldo Vieira in the 13th minute of play. Henrique Oliveira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reinaldo Vieira, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. After 16 minutes, Reinaldo Vieira made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Landim FC's Henrique Oliveira tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 29th minute, Emanuel Borba made a precise shot to the right of Valério Ribas. Ribalonga FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Ribalonga FC's Lourenço Baião got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Reinaldo Vieira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Landim FC's Henrique Oliveira got control of the ball when Lourenço Baião tried to sneak it across the goal line. Armando Vaz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Valério Ribas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Reinaldo Vieira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ribalonga FC's Reinaldo Vieira got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ribalonga FC's Valério Ribas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuel Borba in the 70th minute of play. Eusébio Abreu hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. If Armando Vaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emanuel Borba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Valério Ribas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 90thth minute of the game Armando Vaz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ribalonga FC's Valério Ribas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Valério Ribas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuel Borba in the 96th minute of play.
