After a rather tough play, Cumeada's António Campos got a free kick in the 16th minute. Luís Dias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jaime Faria having to interfere. In the 26th match minute, Cumeada was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adelino Moutinho to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luís Dias got free with Jaime Faria in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 30 minutes, Tomás Faria managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cumeada's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomás Faria was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 31 minutes into the match, Tomás Faria notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of White Eagles's Filipe Teixeira. Filipe Teixeira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Tiago Brás had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Emílio Matos in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jaime Faria saved Cumeada from getting behind. Emílio Matos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Viriato Vieira during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
