The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Francisco Pedroso didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniel Baptista went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Cristiano Vale took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lourenço Cardoso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 43 minutes into the game, Serrinha F.C.'s Nuno Porto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cristiano Vale made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Catarino Almeida stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Catarino Almeida received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Francisco Pedroso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Pecene's Cristiano Vale got control of the ball when Nuno Porto tried to sneak it across the goal line. Pecene's Cristiano Vale played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rui Cabral in the 55th minute of play. Francisco Pedroso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Baptista, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Francisco Pedroso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastião Pereira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 67 minutes into the match, Nuno Porto notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Pecene's Cristiano Vale. Cristiano Vale was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Lourenço Cardosos short, quick shot in the 74thth minute got Cristiano Vale to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Baptista in the 76th minute of play forced Serrinha F.C.'s goalkeeper Francisco Pedroso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 76th minute, Artur Carneiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Francisco Pedroso came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Pecene's Catarino Almeida. But to his dismay, Catarino Almeida quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2. 83 minutes into the match, Serrinha F.C.'s Filipe Sousa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cristiano Vale narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 85th minute Daniel Baptista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francisco Pedroso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Baptista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Francisco Pedroso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Filipe Sousa came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Serrinha F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Filipe Sousa couldn't finish the play. Pecene's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
