Miguel Mendes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Miguel Mendes in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Isidro Trindade saved SC Paranho from getting behind. Futubol Clube Castelões's Miguel Mendes got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Futubol Clube Castelões's Miguel Mendes in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SC Paranho's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, SC Paranho's Pedro Guarda got a free kick in the 19th minute. In the 27th match minute, SC Paranho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roberto Campos to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in SC Paranho's zone, Miguel Mendes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Isidro Trindade came out of the goal and Miguel Mendes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 29 minutes, Roberto Campos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Paranho and the Futubol Clube Castelões players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to SC Paranho getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Roberto Campos hit a great ball. Miguel Mendes's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 31stth minute, Isidro Trindade skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. António Pacheco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raul Corte-Real, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Miguel Mendes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Futubol Clube Castelões's supporters rose to their feet, but Miguel Mendes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Isidro Trindade breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Álvaro Cabral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isidro Trindade having to interfere. 46 minutes in the game, Miroslaw Gondek fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Isidro Trindade having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pedro Guarda made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Miguel Mendes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Futubol Clube Castelões's supporters rose to their feet, but Miguel Mendes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Isidro Trindade breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Isidro Trindade came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Futubol Clube Castelões's Miguel Mendes. But to his dismay, Miguel Mendes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 64th match minute, SC Paranho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roberto Campos to maneuver through the defense. Miguel Mendes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Miguel Mendes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Isidro Trindade tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Miguel Mendes might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Isidro Trindade. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Miguel Mendes ran back to his position shaking his head. Isidro Trindade made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miguel Mendes in the 75th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Miguel Mendes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Futubol Clube Castelões's supporters rose to their feet, but Miguel Mendes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Isidro Trindade breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 83 minutes into the match, SC Paranho's goal looked a bit too open when Miguel Mendes came free, but Isidro Trindade reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
