An unexpectedly hard shot by Gregório Pádua in the 7th minute of play forced Eidos FC's goalkeeper Luís Pires to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Filinto Modesto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Luís Pires showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filinto Modesto in the 11th minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 13 minutes, Belchior Gois successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 15 minutes into the match, Gregório Pádua notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Eidos FC's Luís Pires. Luís Pires was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Filinto Modesto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Luís Pires took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filinto Modesto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Filinto Modesto struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Luís Pires didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Malpica FC. The audience was convinced that Gregório Pádua's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luís Pires was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. When Gregório Pádua came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Malpica FC fans jumped to their feet. After the first half Malpica FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alfredo Moniz made a kick off. Alexandre Ferreira struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Belchior Gois didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Eidos FC. Belchior Gois made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexandre Ferreira in the 54th minute of play. After 59 played minutes Eidos FC got a freekick which was hit by Filipe Nunes. Filipe Nunes hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. When Gregório Pádua got free in front of the goal in the 70th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Luís Pires was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Filinto Modesto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Pires having to interfere. After 85 played minutes, Eidos FC's Ricardo Pedroso shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Belchior Gois came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Eidos FC reached it. If Gregório Pádua had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Eidos FC's zone, Gregório Pádua stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luís Pires came out of the goal and Gregório Pádua tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the final whistle sounded Malpica FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Eidos FC.
