The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

If Fábio Neves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Augusto Neto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fábio Neves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If José Resende had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 92 minutes into the game, Cristiano Azevedo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The Benfica fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. When the referee blew the final whistle, Benfica could leave the field as winners, despite Druska FC having more of the ball for most of the match.
