A collision led to Vandoma getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Emílio Madureira hit a great ball. Igor Patrício showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Simão Pegado in the 7th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Adolfo Dias managed to get in a good position for a shot. Manel Football Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Adolfo Dias was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Igor Patrício breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Manel Football Club booed when Vandoma was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antero Pacheco didn't get a good kick on the ball. 16 minutes into the match, Manel Football Club's Paulino Cunha broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Adolfo Dias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Igor Patrício having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Simão Pegado managed to get in a good position for a shot. Manel Football Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Simão Pegado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Simão Pegado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Igor Patrício tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Márcio Fontes fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 32nd minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball went over. It was a very nice shot. In the 40th minute Simão Pegado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Igor Patrício saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 41st minute, Reginaldo Zambujal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 43 minutes, Emílio Madureira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vandoma and the Manel Football Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 44th match minute, Vandoma was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emílio Madureira to maneuver through the defense. In the 47th minute, Márcio Fontes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Adolfo Dias made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Emílio Madureira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvério Portugal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Emílio Madureira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 60 minutes, Anselmo Telinhos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vandoma and the Manel Football Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 59th minute, one of Vandoma:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Vandoma. In the 65th minute, Márcio Fontes fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Silvério Portugal, passed just outside the right post. 81 minutes in the game, Emílio Madureira fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Silvério Portugal having to interfere. 82 minutes into the game, Yuri Regalado was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Manel Football Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vandoma the free kick. Vandoma's supporters stood up full of expectation in the 87th minute of the game, when Márcio Fontes after an extraordinary solo performance found himself with a golden opportunity in front of Manel Football Club's goal. Márcio Fontes was unfortunally a little to anxious and the ball went outside the goal. In the 94th minute Márcio Fontes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvério Portugal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Yuri Regalado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Adolfo Dias recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 98th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Manel Football Club walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
