Spectators: 7310 (Terracing: 5484, Seating: 1681, VIP seats: 145) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Alexandre Brás started the match with the kick off. Higino Cabral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sandro Oliveira in the 3rd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alexandre Brás in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Higino Cabral saved Cabeca from getting behind. The supporters of SC Corticinha booed when Cabeca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juvenal Póvoas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cabeca's defense didn't have a chance, in the 9th minute, when Alexandre Brás scored to the left of an out of position Higino Cabral, making the score, 1-0. Cabeca's Higino Cabral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucas Henriques in the 15th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Alexandre Brás kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Higino Cabral. That made the score 2-0 in the 17 minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adelino Queirós got free with Higino Cabral in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Sandro Oliveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juvenal Póvoas in the 27th minute of play forced SC Corticinha's goalkeeper Armindo Barbosa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. But to his dismay, Lucas Henriques quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Juvenal Póvoas to strike the kick off in the second half. Higino Cabral didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alexandre Brás went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. Lourenço Faria took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Higino Cabral. Higino Cabral dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Sandro Oliveira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Higino Cabral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Higino Cabral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sandro Oliveira, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Sandro Oliveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Higino Cabral having to interfere. Alexandre Brás struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Higino Cabral didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Corticinha. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alexandre Brás in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Higino Cabral saved Cabeca from getting behind. Sandro Oliveira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Higino Cabral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alexandre Brás sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Alexandre Brás had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. SC Corticinha walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
