Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Álvaro Almeida kicked off to start the match. Ciro Petrocchi made a fantastic save in the 4th minute, when Eusébio Cortez sent off a good shot on target. If Homero Frois had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aquilino Cerqueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ciro Petrocchi having to interfere. In the 16th minute, Eusébio Cortez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Green Lions fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. After having played for 21 minutes, Álvaro Almeida managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ninaes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Álvaro Almeida was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ciro Petrocchi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vítor Gueifão in the 26th minute of play. If Álvaro Almeida had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ciro Petrocchi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vítor Gueifão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 42nd minute, Eusébio Cortez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ciro Petrocchi was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Aquilino Cerqueira made a kick off. Ciro Petrocchi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aquilino Cerqueira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 53rd minute, Celso Marinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Green Lions's Zarco Valadão suffered a concussion in the 55th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. With a little luck, Green Lions's Matias Carneiro got control of the ball when Arí Dias tried to sneak it across the goal line. Álvaro Almeida recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eusébio Cortez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ciro Petrocchi having to interfere. In the 79thth minute of the game Mário Amaro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ninaes's Ciro Petrocchi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Eusébio Cortez came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Green Lions fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eusébio Cortez couldn't finish the play. Eusébio Cortez might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ciro Petrocchi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eusébio Cortez ran back to his position shaking his head. Ciro Petrocchi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vítor Gueifão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Green Lions's attack was well implemented in the 89th minute, but when Eusébio Cortez was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. Álvaro Almeida could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Matias Carneiro made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Álvaro Almeida managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ninaes's supporters rose to their feet, but Álvaro Almeida was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Matias Carneiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. There was no doubt that Green Lions were the better team. Green Lions's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
