After 15 minutes, Hélder Gomes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AM United and the Green Lions players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ricardo Pires yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Aquilino Cerqueira made the kick off in the second half. Vítor Gueifão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Green Lions fully deserved thier win.
