After some careless play in the SC Ardaos defense, Teodoro Quintanilha kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Séverin Bertrand. A very good chance for a goal. 18 minutes into the match, Teodoro Quintanilha had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Séverin Bertrand. SC Ardaos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Teodoro Quintanilha was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. SC Ardaos's Biggs Jonny was substituted for Claudemiro Telinhos. Jorge Valido showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alcides Guerreiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Durval Reis got free with Jorge Valido in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nicolas Falcão hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Alcides Guerreiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Teodoro Quintanilha fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SCdsf's protests and gave Teodoro Quintanilha a yellow card for diving instead. Teodoro Quintanilha hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. 43 minutes into the match, SCdsf's goal looked a bit too open when Alcides Guerreiro came free, but Jorge Valido reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 45th minute, Micael Quintanilha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 47 minutes in the game Danilo Cordeiro did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Durval Reis. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nicolas Falcão to strike the kick off in the second half. Pedro Colaço hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Jorge Valido took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicolas Falcão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. SCdsf's Jorge Valido played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Durval Reis in the 58th minute of play. Jorge Valido made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alcides Guerreiro in the 86th minute of play. Jorge Valido didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nicolas Falcão went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. In the 95th minute, Durval Reis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jorge Valido was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Despite being the better team, SC Ardaos failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
