To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 14 minutes into the match, Cowboys From Hell's David Trindade sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Óscar Amaro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Paulo Resende's late challenge caught a Cowboys From Hell's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paulo Resende helped the player get up and apologised. In the 15th minute, Paulo Resende hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 25 minutes into the match, Portunhos FC's goalkeeper Óscar Amaro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by David Trindade. Bernabe Roldanillo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricardo Assis in the 26th minute of play. After 34 minutes of play, Portunhos FC's Ricardo Assis made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bernabe Roldanillo was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience thought a goal was coming when David Trindade got free with Óscar Amaro in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 38th minute, Portunhos FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Hüsmen İshak fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. During the 39th minute of the match Paulo Resende completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Paulo Resende a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. If Américo Henriques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

David Trindade received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Óscar Amaro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Américo Henriques sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 59th minute, Américo Henriques made a precise shot to the right of Óscar Amaro. Portunhos FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Cowboys From Hell's Américo Henriques got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Portunhos FC's zone, Hüsmen İshak stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Óscar Amaro came out of the goal and Hüsmen İshak tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sérgio Araújo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernabe Roldanillo having to interfere. Ricardo Assis hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Portunhos FC's Óscar Amaro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Américo Henriques in the 74th minute of play. In the 75th minute, Basílio Mota hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Óscar Amaro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hüsmen İshak in the 80th minute of the match. Óscar Amaro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Américo Henriques in the 82nd minute of play. After 84 minutes of play, Cowboys From Hell's Hüsmen İshak made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net.
