Vítor Leite hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Alexandre Paiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Vítor Marques tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vítor Marques made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alexandre Paiva in the 18th minute. Artur Nunes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paulo Leão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Artur Nunes in the 26th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Artur Nunes in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Paulo Leão prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Reiriz getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Sérgio Tavares hit a great ball. Alexandre Paiva in the 40thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Vítor Marques, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 42nd minute Simão Monteiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vítor Marques saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rogério Gaspar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Paulo Leão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Artur Nunes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rogério Gaspar scored 0-1 in the 46th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Paulo Leão, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

The wind increased when Alexandre Paiva made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Afonso Moutinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vítor Marques took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexandre Paiva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Artur Nunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Artur Nunes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Leão having to interfere. Paulo Leão made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Vítor Leite sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Reiriz getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Alfredo Vale hit a great ball. When Artur Nunes came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Moonchester United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Artur Nunes couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Alexandre Paiva's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vítor Marques was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. Vítor Marques didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Afonso Moutinho went, in the 86th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. When the match had gone on for 91 minutes, Afonso Moutinho put it in 2-2 from a short distance just to the right of Vítor Marques. When Alexandre Paiva fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Reiriz's protests and gave Alexandre Paiva a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Reiriz getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Alexandre Paiva hit a great ball. 95 minutes into the match, Reiriz's goalkeeper Paulo Leão had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Artur Nunes.
