The referee showed Amável Mourão the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. David Sardinha stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bruno Perdigão's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Amável Mourão made a kick off. If Claudemiro Bacelar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. Barcelona's supporters rose to their feet, but Caio Espinosa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adelino Torcato breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. For all the effort they put into the match, the Barcelona players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for SC Arelho.
