The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Menexas FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Enxomil the free kick. A collision led to Menexas FC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Raul Borba hit a great ball. In the 17th minute, Miguel Fernandes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Afonso Monteiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Joel Figueiredo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 21st minute, Carlos Santarém got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Miguel Fernandes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Joel Figueiredo having to make a save. Afonso Monteiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Joel Figueiredo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Miguel Fernandes in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joel Figueiredo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Menexas FC's Carlos Santarém in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SC Enxomil's goalie prevented a goal. When Carlos Santarém came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Menexas FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlos Santarém couldn't finish the play. Miguel Fernandes succeeded in the game's 35th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. After 39 played minutes SC Enxomil got a freekick which was hit by Paulo Moura. A collision led to Menexas FC getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Armando Miranda hit a great ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Armando Miranda to make the kick off. If Nuno Pinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 66 minutes into the match, Menexas FC's goalkeeper Joel Figueiredo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Afonso Monteiro. Fábio Mendes took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 69th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Joel Figueiredo. Menexas FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. A hard shot 71 in the game by Afonso Monteiro from a close distance when the talented Joel Figueiredo managed to make a qualified save. Menexas FC's players were relieved. The SC Enxomil supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing SC Enxomil would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
