Garridos FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Isac Veiga in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Francisco Vieira saved Garridos FC from getting behind. Carlos Pedroso struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Cláudio Moreira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Garridos FC. After 27 minutes, Rui Madeira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Frende and the Garridos FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 27th minute, Rui Madeira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in FC Frende's zone, Carlos Pedroso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cláudio Moreira came out of the goal and Carlos Pedroso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sálvio Candal kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. FC Frende's Isac Veiga got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Isac Veiga came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the FC Frende fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Isac Veiga couldn't finish the play. After 45 minutes of play, FC Frende's Isac Veiga made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Francisco Vieira was left in no man's land by his defense there!

Cláudio Moreira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Pedroso, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. The supporters of Garridos FC booed when FC Frende was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Laércio Moura didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Pedroso in the 60th minute of play forced FC Frende's goalkeeper Cláudio Moreira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FC Frende's Cláudio Moreira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorge Castro in the 96th minute of play. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Garridos FC lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
