The referee ignored SC Cestaco's protests and gave Honorato Estrada a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to SC Cestaco getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Honorato Estrada hit a great ball. Fábio Almeida received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Kevin Chagas came out and tried to block the shot, but Fábio Almeida slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 23rd minute. João Almeida showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benedito Vilar in the 28th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fábio Almeida got free with Kevin Chagas in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fábio Almeida in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kevin Chagas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Evaristo Cordero in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kevin Chagas saved SC Cestaco from getting behind. When Pedro Aguiar came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Volcom fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedro Aguiar couldn't finish the play. In the 39th minute, Honorato Estrada hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fábio Almeida's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 41stth minute, Kevin Chagas skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Fábio Almeida blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kevin Chagas having to make a save. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Benedito Vilar to make the kick off. Oliveira Ferro hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. 61 minutes into the match, Volcom's goalkeeper João Almeida had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adelino Gago. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fábio Almeida in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. The referee ignored Volcom's protests and gave Oliveira Ferro a yellow card for diving instead. After 70 played minutes Volcom got a freekick which was hit by Oliveira Ferro. Volcom were furious when Mário Henriques was red carded, 73 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 73rd minute, one of Volcom:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Volcom. A collision led to SC Cestaco getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Vítor Alcântara hit a great ball. Fábio Almeida fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kevin Chagas having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fábio Almeida in the 86th minute of play forced SC Cestaco's goalkeeper Kevin Chagas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fábio Almeida in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kevin Chagas saved SC Cestaco from getting behind. In the 91stth minute of the game Fábio Almeida who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Cestaco's Kevin Chagas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Kevin Chagas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fábio Almeida in the 94th minute of play. When the referee ended the match the Volcom players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
