Sílvio Prates showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cassiano Freitas, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. After 30 minutes, Albertino Cunha mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SL Batalha and the Enxerto FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Albertino Cunha kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. If Alfredo Viana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alfredo Viana to make the kick off. Sílvio Prates breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Enxerto FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching SL Batalha's performance. The match ended with a win for SL Batalha.
