Rui Campelo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The crowd rose to their feet as SC Frechao's Anselmo Garcez slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Catarino Henriques. That made the score 1-3 after 24 minutes of play. After 28 played minutes SC Frechao got a freekick which was hit by Gusmão Cunha. In the 29th minute Carlos Marques shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rui Campelo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vítor Pedroso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rui Campelo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Marques in the 39th minute of play. Vítor Pedroso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 42 minutes into the match, SC Frechao's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Marques came free, but Rui Campelo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 47 minutes into the game, magic-magicfc's Carlos Marques nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rui Campelo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4.

SC Frechao's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Vítor Pedroso 59 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-5. In the 61st minute, Donato Calçada hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rui Campelo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vítor Pedroso in the 66th minute of the match. With a little luck, SC Frechao's Rui Campelo got control of the ball when Armindo Guerreiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 72nd minute, Vítor Pedroso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vítor Pedroso couldn't finish the play. magic-magicfc's Carlos Marques got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to SC Frechao getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Lisandro Moniz hit a great ball. When Carlos Marques came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the magic-magicfc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlos Marques couldn't finish the play. When the match was over magic-magicfc could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than SC Frechao throughout the match.
