Glory Football Club's Jarbas Sesimbra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teófilo Passos in the 37th minute of play. Carlos Infante made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isidoro Correia in the 41st minute of play. If Isidoro Correia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. With a little luck, Gandarela FC's Carlos Infante got control of the ball when Vladimiro Vidigal tried to sneak it across the goal line. With his leg Carlos Infante managed to avoid a goal in the 66thth minute, when Glory Football Club's Teófilo Palmeira fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 67th minute Isidoro Correia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Infante saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carlos Infante took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isidoro Correia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Vladimiro Vidigal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vladimiro Vidigal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Teófilo Palmeira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Carlos Infante made a huge save. If Vladimiro Vidigal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
