After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Fabrício Varanda managed to get in a good position for a shot. Freixofeira's supporters rose to their feet, but Fabrício Varanda was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paulo Magalhães breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Freixofeira's Edgar Carvalheira got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Edgar Carvalheira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Fabrício Varanda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Magalhães having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fabrício Varanda got free with Paulo Magalhães in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

A hard shot 52 in the game by Alberto Correia from a close distance when the talented Ricardo Távora managed to make a qualified save. Freixofeira's players were relieved. Alberto Correia did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-3 to the left of a surprised Ricardo Távora 86 minutes into the match. When the final whistle sounded FC Lordelo left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Freixofeira.
