Escoura FC's Hamilton Amaral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kevin Vidal in the 16th minute of play. In the 20th minute, Jairo Pinho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hermano Caiado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Máximo Baía in the 26th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jairo Pinho got free with Hermano Caiado in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 29th minute Kevin Vidal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hamilton Amaral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Escoura FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jairo Pinho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Máximo Baía came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Escoura FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Máximo Baía couldn't finish the play. Estrela De Santo Andre's Hermano Caiado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jairo Pinho in the 61st minute of play. If Jairo Pinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
