Silvério Júdice recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 15th minute, SC Hunters's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Bernardo Gusmão fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Bernardo Gusmão could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Alexandre Lima made a huge save. When Leandro Rebelo came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the GD Peniche fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leandro Rebelo couldn't finish the play. In the 30th match minute, SC Hunters was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Pedroso to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to SC Hunters getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. David Dantas hit a great ball. In the 36th minute of the match Bernardo Gusmão shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alexandre Lima showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. GD Peniche's Silvério Júdice got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as GD Peniche's André Dantas slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Alexandre Lima. That made the score 2-0 after 40 minutes of play. Leandro Rebelo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to SC Hunters getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Domingos Alves hit a great ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bernardo Gusmão to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, André Dantas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alexandre Lima made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leandro Rebelo in the 55th minute of play. Bernardo Gusmão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, SC Hunters's Ronaldão Vander got a free kick in the 68th minute. 72 minutes into the match, SC Hunters's goal looked a bit too open when Bernardo Gusmão came free, but Alexandre Lima reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 80 minutes, the score became 3-1 when Eduardo Ferreira sped through GD Peniche's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Júlio Casado. In the 84th minute, Eduardo Ferreira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Hunters fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. 86 minutes into the game, Inácio Soares was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Hunters's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave GD Peniche the free kick. In the 87th match minute, SC Hunters was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Inácio Soares to maneuver through the defense. Alexandre Lima showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from André Dantas, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. 89 minutes into the match, SC Hunters's goal looked a bit too open when Bernardo Gusmão came free, but Alexandre Lima reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If André Dantas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
