With an all-out effort, SC Cortecega's Sálvio Teles threw himself towards the right post 29 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Alípio Eanes, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hélio Prada in the 40th minute of play forced SC Cortecega's goalkeeper Moisés Lima to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
