The supporters of BabulhaFC booed when SC Logocem was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Viriato Paiva didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 12th minute of the match Silvano Tinoco sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but André Rodrigues skillfully saved the ball. In the 18th minute, Eusébio Leite left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Logocem fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. In the 24th minute, Eusébio Leite ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Emanuel Camacho was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. After having played for 28 minutes, Alfredo Pegado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. BabulhaFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfredo Pegado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match clock showed 30 minutes, the score became 2-3 when Quintino Aires sped through SC Logocem's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of André Rodrigues. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Quintino Aires managed to get in a good position for a shot. BabulhaFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Quintino Aires was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. André Rodrigues breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 37 minutes into the match, BabulhaFC's Quintino Aires sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that André Rodrigues narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 40 minutes into the game, Delfim Pacheco cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-4. André Rodrigues was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Eusébio Leite had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 47th minute of the match, Eusébio Leite got a very nice opportunity to score, but Emanuel Camacho was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Sérgio Leiria made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredo Pegado in the 53rd minute of play forced SC Logocem's goalkeeper André Rodrigues to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Alfredo Pegado's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but André Rodrigues was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. With his leg André Rodrigues managed to avoid a goal in the 59thth minute, when BabulhaFC's Alfredo Pegado fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredo Pegado in the 61st minute of play forced SC Logocem's goalkeeper André Rodrigues to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 69thth minute of the game Alfredo Pegado who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Logocem's André Rodrigues was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Salvador Travassos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Quintino Aires's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 83rdth minute, André Rodrigues skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. BabulhaFC's Quintino Aires got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alfredo Pegado struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. André Rodrigues didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for BabulhaFC. SC Logocem's André Rodrigues proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save SC Logocem from getting a goal against them. When Caetano Tomé fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored BabulhaFC's protests and gave Caetano Tomé a yellow card for diving instead. After 94 played minutes BabulhaFC got a freekick which was hit by Caetano Tomé. After recieving a nice pass, SC Logocem's Manuel Gomes tried to score from far away in the 95th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. When the match was over BabulhaFC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than SC Logocem throughout the match.
