After 21 played minutes, Pelma's Alexandre Franco shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Afonso Dantas came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Pelma reached it. Daniel Simões kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. In the 26th minute of the match Alexandre Franco sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Afonso Dantas skillfully saved the ball. If António Pinheiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chourico FC's Afonso Dantas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Inácio Alvarenga in the 32nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Henry Jakobsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chourico FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Henry Jakobsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ricardo Alcântara breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. António Pinheiro took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Afonso Dantas. Afonso Dantas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After having played for 43 minutes, Amador Galo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chourico FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amador Galo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After having played for 55 minutes, Henrique Bessa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pelma's supporters crossed their fingers, but Henrique Bessa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice moves Henrique Bessa could shoot a difficult shot in the 87th minute, which Afonso Dantas however easily saved by the left post. Henrique Bessa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Afonso Dantas made a huge save. Claudio Cesareo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Ricardo Alcântara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
